The Bhagoriya Festival is celebrated by the tribal people of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Tribes who participate include the Bhil, Bhilala, and Pateliya. The festival takes place in the Barwani, Dhar, Alirajpur, Khargone and Jhabua districts of Madhya Pradesh. Young men and women come to Bhagoriya festival very well dressed up to find their future life partners. The way of expressing mutual consent is also very unique. First of all the boy gives betel leaf to the girl to eat. If a girl eats betel leaf then it is considered yes.
भगोरिया उत्सव मध्य प्रदेश और महाराष्ट्र के आदिवासियों द्वारा मनाया जाता है। भाग लेने वाली जनजातियों में भील, भिलाला और पटेलिया शामिल हैं। यह उत्सव मध्य प्रदेश के बड़वानी, धार, अलीराजपुर, खरगोन और झाबुआ जिलों में होता है। भगोरिया उत्सव में युवक-युवतियाँ अपने भावी जीवन साथी को खोजने के लिए खूब सज-धजकर आते हैं। आपसी सहमति जताने का तरीका भी बेहद अनोखा है। सबसे पहले लड़का लड़की को पान खाने के लिए देता है, अगर लड़की पान खा लेती है तो उसे हां माना जाता है।
